Terms of Service - IB Bestie

These terms apply when you use ibbestie.com or book a lesson with IB Bestie, an online tutoring service run by Omar Shaltout in Egypt. By creating an account, booking or paying, you agree to them. Questions are welcome at contact@ibbestie.com.

Your account

Give accurate details and keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for bookings made from your account.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms and to any payment before you book.

Lessons

Lessons take place online, with the tutor and at the time shown on your booking. Times are shown in your selected time zone, so please check it before booking.
Joining details are provided before the lesson.
Tutors help you learn. They don't complete assessed or graded work for you, and we can't guarantee a particular grade or result.
If you book for a group, you are responsible for telling the other students about the lesson and for having their agreement to share their details with us.

Prices and payment

Lesson prices are per student, for a 60-minute lesson. A 30-minute lesson costs half.

1 student: €10
2 to 4 students: €8 each
5 or more students: €6 each

The account that books pays for every student in the session. Payments are made in euros through PayPal, by PayPal account or debit or credit card, and must be completed before a lesson is booked. A payment processing fee is added at checkout, and you'll see it before you pay.

The free session

Each student can have one free 30-minute, 1-to-1 session. It isn't available again through a new or different account.

Moving or cancelling a lesson

More than 12 hours before a lesson, you can move or cancel it yourself from the booking page.
If you cancel a paid lesson in that time, the lesson price is refunded to your original payment method. The payment processing fee isn't refunded. Your bank or PayPal may take a few days to show the refund.
Within 12 hours of a lesson, it can't be changed online. Please contact us as soon as you can.

If your tutor cancels

If your tutor has to cancel, we'll tell you and refund the lesson price of a paid lesson to your original payment method. The payment processing fee isn't refunded. You're welcome to book another time.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the site, interfere with its security, or harass tutors, students or staff. We may suspend or close accounts that do. Lesson materials are for your own study, so please don't share or sell them without permission.

Our responsibility

We take care to provide a reliable service, but the site may sometimes be unavailable, and problems with internet connections or outside services can affect lessons. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for a lesson is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law that can't legally be removed.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Bookings already made stay under the terms in place when you booked. These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, without affecting mandatory rights you have where you live.
